The US-China Business Council will lead a high-level business delegation to visit China, potentially restarting trade negotiations.

According to PandoraTech News, the Hong Kong "South China Morning Post" quoted two people familiar with the matter as saying that the United States is about to send a high-level business delegation organized by the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC) to visit Beijing, which will be the highest-level business visit since President Trump restarted the tariff war in April 2025.

The delegation is reportedly led by Raj Subramaniam, Chairman of the USCBC Board and CEO of FedEx, and includes several Boeing executives and Craig Allen, President of the US-China Business Council. While the delegation's detailed membership and itinerary have not yet been released, multiple sources indicate that the delegation plans to meet with senior Chinese officials, with the goal of revitalizing business cooperation and communication mechanisms being a key objective.

The visit comes amidst a complex backdrop. The recent escalation of US tariffs, chip export controls, and technology investment restrictions against China has stifled exchanges between Chinese and American businesses. Despite this, USCBC has long been committed to providing a communication platform for American businesses in China, and this visit could become a breakthrough for private sector economic forces to intervene in policy dialogue.

Observers believe that if the visit is successful, it will inject a moderate element into Sino-US relations, especially on industrial issues such as Boeing, logistics, energy and high technology, and may open up limited space for technical and business dialogue.
